Udawalawe is a year-round safari destination, but weather conditions and wildlife activity vary slightly with the seasons.
✅ Ideal Safari Season:
Best Months: June to September & December to early March
These months offer dry weather, excellent visibility, and the highest chance of spotting elephants, birds, and other wildlife.
🌧️ Rainy Season to Avoid:
October to November and sometimes late April to May may bring intermittent rain.
Safaris are still possible, but trails can be muddy, and animal sightings may decrease.
